Welcome to Amid Giants and Idols in Lyme Regis – a charming coffee house serving artisan coffee and exceptional food. Since taking over in 2021, husband and wife team Tom and Hayley have transformed this small coffee shop into a thriving family business, quickly becoming a beloved local hub. However, when they discovered that the back garden area had never received planning consent for commercial use, they were faced with an enforcement notice.
At Architékton Architects, we believe in supporting local communities, so we stepped in to help. We worked closely with Tom, Hayley, and local planning officers to resolve the issue, preparing a successful planning application that addressed all concerns.
Despite the nerve-wracking experience, Tom and Hayley’s dedication and open communication ensured their business continued to flourish.
